What adults can see
IWA is your space to think and grow. Here is exactly who can see what, so there are no surprises.
Your Parent/Guardian can see
- Which modules you have started and finished, and when.
- Stars you earn for finishing a module on time.
- Your reflections only when you tick “Share”, or when a reflection is always shared (see below).
- Notes your teacher chooses to share with them.
Your teacher can see (if you use IWA at school)
- Which modules you have started and finished in their class.
- Reflections that are always shared (see below).
- Notes they write to help you grow. You can see these notes too. If you disagree with a note, you can tell your teacher or Parent/Guardian and ask for it to be changed.
Some reflections are always shared
- If a reflection suggests you may be unsafe or very upset, a trusted adult will see it, even if “Share” is unticked. Short answers or not wanting to share never cause this.
- This is so an adult can check in and support you. You are not in trouble.
- If something worrying is written, a trained IWA team member and your school (if you have one) may also be told, so you get help quickly.
How IWA checks reflections
- A computer helper (AI) reads your reflection to check you answered the question and that you are OK. It does not see your name.
- It never gives you a score, a grade or a label.
- Names and nicknames are checked for unkind or rude words. If a nickname breaks the rules, IWA may pause your account and tell your Parent/Guardian or school why, so they can help you fix it.
What nobody can see
- Your PIN. It is scrambled so even IWA staff can’t read it.
- Photos, voice or camera — IWA never asks for these.
- There are no rankings or character scores, ever.
If anything worries you or you feel unsafe, talk to a teacher, parent or another adult you trust.
